Covid-19 has drastically accelerated the digitalization journey for many companies, explained Javier Campos – Head of UK&I and EMEA DataLabs – during the Innovation Summit 2020. Experian DataLabs is continuously working on innovation to better automate and predict business challenges. The past year many social and economic projects were performed within the DataLabs team. For e.g. Experian is collaborating with the NHS (National Health Service) in the UK to predict exactly how the Covid-19 disease is spreading locally for them to adjust healthcare personnel and local regulations accordingly. In fact, the models told them in the first corona wave that they would have a problem in care homes, so they could prepare. Tackling human trafficking and Covid-19 illness risks are other projects handled with the use of innovation, AI, machine learning and data.
